This recipe was fantastic! I used 2 percent milk instead of the cream and honey instead of the sugar. It came out perfectly. Will definitely make again. This chicken dish is delicious. I wanted more sauce so I doubled the stock. I also added 2 TBS of flour the the onion mixture after I added the balsamic vinegar because I like a thicker sauce. The flavor is amazing. I literally want to lick my plate when I’m done eating. It is really an easy dish to prepare. To speed up the recipe you could always cook the onions in a separate pan and then add to the chicken pan once the your chicken is cooked. I personally found the sauce on this recipe to be way too sweet, although the underlying flavors with the balsamic and caramelized onions are delicious! I had to add quite a bit of both salt and pepper to the plated dish to cut the sweetness. Next time, I will omit the sugar entirely especially because the balsamic becomes sweeter as it reduces, and add salt & pepper to the sauce to taste to...

I made this cake over the weekend for a dinner party and people lost their minds!! Great muffins. They're pretty sweet so I leave out the caramels and make a caramel sauce for people to drizzle over the top. I have made these before, but now I found caramel chips so wanted to try them with those. They were really good, but on the sweet side. Next time I’d cut the sugar down just a bit. These are so good. I made them as stated in the recipe, except I added just a touch of nutmeg, cloves, and allspice. I also just stuck the caramel in the middle, and used a bit more apples. I used foil cupcakes liners and NO STICKING. Perfect and yummy. My children devoured them. I loved this recipe very much.  I used carmal ice cream topping instead of carmals and it was just perfect.  I think by using carmal ice cream topping instead of carmals everything fell right into place for me to the letter.  Tweak it always and make it your own I say. I agree with Sweetnit below, the baking time was way off! It took almost double the amount of time stated. I took them out after 35 min. and the center was all liquid. After 20-25 more minutes the middle was better but still too gooey. I took these to a pot luck dinner and could only use the outside of the pan because the middle pieces all fell apart because they were so gooey. Love the ingredients but not the final result. I think they need ice cream too. You can't eat too many of these because they're so rich. I substituted pecans for cashews. I had a little trouble with the caramel, so I thought I’d leave a comment to help others out. The detailed directions are great, only, once the sugar melts, add the cream as soon as the sugar turns golden and the chunks are gone. Don’t wait for it to darken any more; just add the cream asap. I burnt my first batch of sugar, so I think maybe my stove runs hotter than the one used here. Delicious. Made these twice. 1st time just as directed. Adjusted them a bit because they were very soft and hard to pick up. I used apple cider inplace of apple juice and only added 1/4c into the dough. I also doubled the caramel for the icing. Absolutely wonderful. These were a big hit with my cookie loving friends. I would make them again with less apple juice as they were very soft. I increase baking time to 12 minutes but still too soft. I made this recipe, but with 1 addition. I added 2 T heavy cream and whipped the frosting on medium speed for 2 minutes which made the frosting very fluffy and delicious. The recipe is very good (I used my own homemade salted caramel sauce) but no way does it make 3 cups, or enough to ice 24 cupcakes. I have 5 unfrosted cupcakes and I didn’t pile the icing on. I did the ‘rose’ look using the Wilton 1M tip. I love this recipe, but I use Cadburys Dairy milk and a good dark choc, also 1/4 of caramel in brownie batter, the rest goes in the middle, perfect every time. I have been baking this recipe for a few years now and it's a favourite of my work colleagues, I like some of you use all the caramel mix in the middle and I find it takes around 30-40 mins to cook in my oven.
