I do love baking from scratch but I am all for using a cake mix at times. In fact, I think I prefer the texture of cake mix cakes most of the time! They are kind of no fail. This lemon cake sounds delicious. I have 3 young kids and I know they do not appreciate a good lemon dessert but I certainly do. I will have to wait for a special ocassion to arise where I can make this cake to share with others. If I made it and kept it at home, I would be the only one eating it and that just won't work! I love this recipe. The muffin was a little to flavorless for me so I’d suggest adding some cinnamon or vanilla extract to the batter other than that I loved it.  The topping was just the right amount of flour and sweets and the butter gave it a great flavor.  In the batter I added backing powder and baking soda bc the Ingredients said soda but the directions said powder sooo. And the glaze wasn’t white for me because I didn’t have pure vanilla extract so I doubled the vanilla. Over all it is a great muffin and it’s beginner friendly cuz I have never made muffins before. This is my favorite coffee cake muffin! I have been making it for several years. I make the crumb topping ahead of time and keep it in a ziploc bag in the freezer so I have it ready to go. So this is one of the best cookies I’ve ever tasted, but assembling the cookies was complicated — aka not easy. I agree with a comment above that the whole blueberries made it very difficult to make the ‘base’ of the cookie. And working with dough that was chilled made it even more difficult. I ended up making thumb prints instead, which were good, but the couple I made beforehand (just like the recipe) were definitely better. I will try this again but I’m going to change it a bit, using the same ingredients. I just made these pumpkin muffins. They have a delicious taste but the texture is a bit firm and dense. I made sure not to over mix. Wonder if there was too much flour. I loved the addition of the coconut oil. I made these with butternut squash that I just baked I had added a little sugar to the squash when I scooped it out of the shell.
