SKILLET CHICKEN IN BALSAMIC CARAMELIZED ONION CREAM SAUCE

This recipe was fantastic! I used 2 percent milk instead of the cream and honey instead of the sugar. It came out perfectly. Will definitely make again. This chicken dish is delicious. I wanted more sauce so I doubled the stock. I also added 2 TBS of flour the the onion mixture after I added the balsamic vinegar because I like a thicker sauce. The flavor is amazing. I literally want to lick my plate when I’m done eating. It is really an easy dish to prepare. To speed up the recipe you could always cook the onions in a separate pan and then add to the chicken pan once the your chicken is cooked. I personally found the sauce on this recipe to be way too sweet, although the underlying flavors with the balsamic and caramelized onions are delicious! I had to add quite a bit of both salt and pepper to the plated dish to cut the sweetness. Next time, I will omit the sugar entirely especially because the balsamic becomes sweeter as it reduces, and add salt & pepper to the sauce to taste to...
